The Majority Leader of Lagos Mainland Local Government and Councillor representing Ward H, Hon. Oluwaseyi Adelakun, has donated educational materials, including stationery, to public primary schools within her constituency as part of efforts to support learning and improve access to basic academic resources.

The initiative aligns with the Education and Technology pillar of the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, aimed at enhancing the quality of education across Lagos State.

Speaking during the presentation of the items on Monday, Hon. Adelakun explained that the programme was designed to complement the State Government’s efforts in strengthening the education sector.

She noted that the gesture would help ease the financial burden on parents while enabling pupils to focus more on their academic activities without distraction.

According to her, the School Initiative Programme, one of her flagship projects, underscores her commitment to investing in education and empowering the next generation.

“As a youth, I am passionate about supporting pupils to excel in their academic pursuits. I will continue to reward excellence among the younger generation and support their career development,” she said.

Hon. Adelakun further reiterated her dedication to positively impacting society through various interventions, including support for vulnerable groups through the donation of food items and other relief materials.

She also commended teachers within her constituency and across the State for their unwavering commitment to nurturing students and shaping them into responsible members of society.

The Majority Leader lauded educators for their vital role in ensuring that Lagos State continues to record outstanding performance in both internal and external examinations.
