We’ll Soon Commission 36 Schools In Tolu, Ajegunle – Sanwo-Olu

…Partners UK Education Firm To Expose Lagos Students To Global Opportunities

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sank-Olu on Thursday announced that his administration would soon commission 36 schools in Tolu, Ajegunle.

The Governor spoke at Lagos House, Marina when he received in audience the leadership team from Westerfield College UK.

The Governor said the meeting brought up a good opportunity to talk about where “we are heading with education in Lagos and how we can work together to give our students more global opportunities.”

Education, the Governor explained, had always been more than just a policy point for him but one of the pillars of the THEMES+ agenda.

“The foundation of everything we’re trying to build is education. I’m firm on the belief that no child in this state should be left behind or out of the classroom.

“In a couple of months, we’ll be commissioning 36 schools in Tolu, Ajegunle. We want every child to have a desk in a quality classroom.

“When we came into office, we had only one state university. Today, we have three. We even have a dedicated Ministry of Tertiary Education to make sure our colleges and universities get the specific attention they need.

“There is still a lot of work to do, but we are making sure the ladder is there for the next generation to climb,” Sanwo-Olu said.
