Stop addressing me as bro, 22-year-old Ondo monarch warns public

The palace of Oloyede Akinghare II, the Arujale-Ojima of Okeluse kingdom in Ondo state, has issued a formal directive regarding the proper address of the monarch.
Since his ascension to the throne in 2022, the 22-year-old traditional ruler has embodied a spirit of youthful vitality combined with deep reverence for the ancient traditions of his office.
But in a statement released on Thursday, the palace emphasised that the dignified approach must be met with reciprocal respect from all.
The statement by Adefemi Michael Olorunfemi, the chief of staff to the kingdom, warned that the only acceptable form of address for the monarch is “his royal majesty”.
It added that any deviation from this formal title is deemed “inappropriate and disrespectful” to the sanctity of the throne.
