Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, the Nigerian event connoisseur, has dismissed claims of publicly calling out Afrobeats star Davido over an unpaid $50,000 wedding-planning fee.
Bucknor-Obruthe is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Zapphaire Events. The company handled the logistics of Davido and Chioma’s white weddingin Miami, Florida, in August 2025, following their traditional wedding in June 2024.
In recent days, reports of Bucknor-Obruthe calling out Davido for unpaid services for planning thewedding began circulating online.
The rumours included alleged quotes from the event planner threatening legal action if the balance for her service was not paid within three days.
