LAGOS TRAFFIC RADIO PARTNERS LASACO ASSURANCE PLC TO CREATE VALUE FOR RESIDENTS

Lagos Traffic Radio and LASACO Assurance PLC have pledged a continued partnership between the Two Agencies to create more value for customers and Residents of the State.
This was disclosed when the new Managing Director of LASACO Assurance PLC, Mr. Ademuye Shobo, led his management team on a courtesy visit to Lagos Traffic Radio.
Mr Shobo, who acknowledged the role of Lagos Traffic Radio in disseminating accurate Insurance Information through its Programmes, also commended the Station for facilitating commerce through adequate traffic Information and advisories to residents, thereby reducing travel time, loss of man-hours, and stress.
The LASACO Boss, who believed that the Insurance Company would be able to increase its capital base in line with the ongoing recapitalisation in the sector, urged other Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government to emulate Lagos Traffic Radio.
“After the promulgation of the NERA 2025 law, it made it convenient for all insurance companies to increase their capital base. And LASACO, in anticipation of this, did a private placement that was concluded in January 2025, where we raised 11.1 billion Naira. And also, when the law came, the Board met and decided that we needed to simply raise the new capital of 25 billion which is required for a composite insurance company that we are”.
While alluding to the power of partnerships as a growth driver, the General Manager, Lagos Traffic Radio, Mr. Tayo Akanle lauded the visit at a time when the Station is expanding its operations, pledging continued partnership with LASACO Assurance PLC to deliver quality services to Lagos Residents.
“You have come at a time when we are expanding our operation, especially in terms of enhancing our signals. And you know, in this world, one of the factors for growth is partnering with relevant agencies, private or government, and such partnerships, we have established with LASACO. I believe strongly that we will continue to grow in leaps and bounds and we shall continue to be there for LASACO, as they do their own part of the job”. Akanle said.
