Kenneth Okonkwo labels pro-Tinubu City Boy supporters as political scavengers.

Nollywood Actor Turned Politician, Kenneth Okonkwo has criticised politicians aligned with the City Boy Movement (CBM), a youth-oriented support group for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign, describing them as “political scavengers”.

Speaking on Symfoni TV, Okonkwo accused the group of backing the president solely for personal gain, likening their actions to “feeding on crumbs” from Tinubu’s table.

“They are scavenging on crumbs that fall from Tinubu’s table,” the actor cum politician said.

“The Igbo have rejected them. It is an insult to Ndigbo. We wear our Isiagu because we hunt for our food with dignity like lions and eat fresh meat.”

Okonkwo also described the politicians who have endorsed Tinubu as “vultures,” insisting he would rather maintain his dignity than seek political favour.

“We don’t scavenge like vultures. Those politicians who allegedly endorsed Tinubu are political scavengers, scavenging from rotten crumbs that fall from Tinubu’s table,” he said.

“They are political children drinking from the feeding bottle of Tinubu. I am Igbo, I would rather die in dignity than to scavenge from the rotten crumbs that fall from Tinubu’s table.

“Throughout my life, it has been with talent and skills that I have been used to hunt and eat my food. I will never scavenge for rotten crumbs. Those people who say they have endorsed Tinubu, sorry, they are Tinubu’s slaves, not genuine Igbo people. Credit: The Cable
