NDLEA uncovers drugs hidden in picture frames,video players ,,busts Drug factory

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA operatives have intercepted two separate methamphetamine shipments at two courier companies in Lagos on Monday, 8th September and Thursday, 11th September. The methamphetamine was hidden in a picture frame and a video player, with 6 grams meant for delivery in Gabon and 1.1kg Loud heading to the United Arab Emirates.

Acting on intelligence, NDLEA operatives raided a factory in Ikorodu area of Lagos on Thursday, 11th September, where skuchies, a blend of cannabis and black currant drink, were being produced, and recovered no less than 6,029 bottles of the new psychoactive substance and 4,232kg of cannabis from the factory located in Caritas, Ibeshe area of Ikorodu, and apprehended the factory manager, Joy Awosika, while another suspect, Akeem Oriola, was arrested same day in Mushin area of Lagos with 26kg skunk.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) while applauding the officers and various Commands for the arrests and seizures, directed them and their colleagues across the country to continue the ongoing balanced approach to the Agency’s drug control efforts.
