OLOWA SWEARS-IN SLG, SUPERVISORS, SPECIAL ADVISERS FOR IBEJU-LEKKI LG

In a significant step toward strengthening grassroots governance, the Executive Chairman, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa has sworn in Adewale Fasali Adebanjo as the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), alongside Supervisors and Special Advisers for the Local Government.
In a release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Mr Akadiri Ayorinde the swearing-in of the new executive arm of the local government took place on the 4th March, 2026 at the conference hall of the Local Government Secretariat, Igando-Oloja immediately after the successful screening and confirmation of the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers by the legislative arm of the local government.
In his address, the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, commended the legislature for its diligence and collaborative spirit, stating: “The screening and swearing-in of these capable men and women mark a new chapter in our drive to deliver dividends of democracy at the grassroots”.
Olowa reiterated that within the framework of Local Government administration in Lagos State, Supervisors and Special Advisers form an important part of the Executive structure of the Council.
The new appointees took their oaths of office and allegiance, pledging to uphold the constitution, serve with integrity, and contribute meaningfully to the progress of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government.
This milestone comes shortly after the Lagos State Government released the list of Secretaries to Local Governments (SLGs), Supervisors, and Special Advisers across the state’s 57 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), enabling councils to fully constitute their executive teams and accelerate people-oriented programs.
The new appointees are expected to assume their duties immediately, supporting the Chairman’s vision for a more prosperous, inclusive, and resilient Ibeju-Lekki Local Government.
